What is Clay Pigeon Shooting?
Clay pigeon shooting involves clay circular targets, known as clay pigeons being catapulted into the air to imitate pigeons, or shot along the ground, to imitate rabbits, by ‘traps’, small machines that propel the clays at speed. Competitors then attempt to shoot the clays pigeons using shotguns.
What Will I Be Doing During the Clay Pigeon Shooting Session in Wales?
During your clay pigeon shooting session in Wales you’ll be given expert tuition and lessons on how to handle and fire shotguns and also how to improve your clay shooting technique in order to maximise the number of clay pigeons you shoot. There are a number of different clay pigeon methods and games such as Skeet and down the line. We concentrate on down the line with clays being fired away from the shooters.Take a look at this video for an idea.
Who Can Do Clays ?
There is no lower age limit for the clay shooting but children have to be physically strong enough to hold a shotgun and be accompanied by their parents or a responsible adult. Usually this means 13 years old and over.

Call of the Wild’s own site in South Wales. The clay pigeon shooting in Wales takes place on opne farm land high above the Dulais Valley in Wales.
Duration/Length of the Clay Pigeon shooting session?
This is variable depending on the size, nature of the group, nature of the event and the prevailing weather conditions on the day. A session can be tailored to meet your groups requirements. A session can be anything from 2 to 4 hours. However if you want to make a holiday of it then let us know and we can arrange a progressive programme with tuition

What will I have to Wear for my Clay Pigeon Shooting Session?
A full kit list will be issued upon booking. You just need to wear warm comfortable clothes.
Good Combinations of Activities
Clay pigeon shooting is suitable for combination with other activities for weekends or longer duration visits. It can be combined with any of the range of activities available whether it be canyoning, gorge walking, climbing, quad biking, paintball and mountain biking.
Can I Use a Camera?
Yes you can as there will be an opportunity to take photos.
