Snow Bound Wales Open For Activity Weekends
No Better Time to Go on an Activity Weekend in Wales
Well we may have had alot of snow in Wales in the last few weeks but that doesn't mean we aren't open for business. Quite the opposite in fact. There is no better time to come and visit us in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. The countryside and wild mountains are at their best at the moment and absolutely stunning. Obviously we've been taking advantage of the opportunity and getting out and about with our groups in the snow.Caving
We've been out caving in the Brecon Beacons over the last few weeks as this is an activity that can be undertaken no matter how much snow is on the ground. As long as you can actually reach the cave entrance then you're away. The temperature in the cave doesn't fluctuate a great deal through the year no matter what the outside air temperature is. So this is a great activity to try at this time of year.Hill Walking
A number of groups have been out on the hills taking in the magnificent views afforded on some of the bright clear days we've had. The winter wonderland landscape is inspiration enough to get to the top of those peaks. However the motivation for some over the alst few days has been more to do with shedding excees weight after the excesses of Christmas and New Year. I can't think of a better way of shedding the pounds!Rock Climbing
We are lucky enough to have choice of climbing venues. These range from sites in the Beacons to cliff crags on the Gower near Swansea. On the coast the temperature is milder and offers some great climbing even at this time of year.Sledging and Snowball Fights
And then there's just having fun and messing about in the snow. You're never too old for a snowball fight! This photo was taken at our activity centre situated on the southern edge of the National park. It's a great place to mess about in the snow although the sheep didn't look that happy! If any of the above interest you, contact us now!
