The apprenticeship levy is a government initiative introduced to fund apprenticeship training and boost apprenticeships across England. It is a form of taxation that applies to businesses that have an annual payroll of more than £3 million.
How does the Levy work?

Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes, which usually take 12 to 24 months to complete. Most of the training can be ‘on the job’ at your business.  They are Fully funded for levy-paying employers or a 5% contribution for SMEs.  You can use them for existing employees and don’t have to take any new staff on to qualify for the funding.
