Equality, Diversity, Inclusivity and Belonging: A One-Day Course
As the UK becomes more culturally diverse each year, so do workplaces. Equality, diversity, inclusivity, and belonging training is therefore becoming an essential part of training for all organisations. EDIB impacts not only employees but all stakeholders including customers, visitors, and the community.
Organisations have a responsibility to create and maintain an environment free of bullying and harassment which promotes dignity and respect for all. An open and inclusive workplace has many benefits – both to the organisation and to individuals; such benefits include an increase in morale, better staff retention, and improved company reputation.
When employees are treated fairly, with respect, and are open to views that might be different from theirs, this will be reflected in their work relations leading to better overall performance and productivity.
Equality – treating everyone fairly.
Diversity – appreciating people’s uniqueness.
Inclusion – encouraging everyone to retain their uniqueness.
Belonging – a culture where people can be themselves.
This one-day course will focus on how to build a more supportive and harmonious workplace, it will cover:
- Company Values
- 2010 Equalities Act
- Unconscious Bias
- Micro behaviours
- Dignity at Work
- Belonging
