Who is the Course Suitable For?

Those aspiring to become leaders and managers or those already in that position who want to improve their management skills.

The ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) Award in First Line Management is a four day blended learning programme which will give potential and aspiring first line managers an excellent basis for their formal learning education in leadership and management.
The Award is delivered in an engaging and innovative style with experiential learning at it’s heart. The qualification also makes use of the latest web based technology to create a rich and interactive learning environment.

ILM awards are made of mandatory units which as the title suggests means that these have to be completed. However you can then make the credits needed to achive the award by choosing various optional units. These are listed below. We have also set out an example of a Level 3  Award in First Line Management with one mandatory unit and two optional units.

Unit M3.01 (2 credits, 11 Glh) – Solving Problems and making decisions (Mandatory Unit)

Unit M3.10 and Unit M3.21 ( 3 credits 12 Glh) Optional Units – Intro to Leadership and Team Management, Organising and Delegating.
