Research shows that being in work is generally good for people’s health and wellbeing. Case studies indicate that helping employees to improve or manage their health can result in increased attendance and performance. The CIPD’s Absence Management Annual Survey report 2010 estimates that, on average, UK employees are absent from work 7.7 days per year. Corporate wellbeing therefore cannot be underestimated.
