Paediatric First Aid Training Course – 2 Day
As of the 10th Dec 2015 it became mandatory that any qualified early years members of staff must be trained either in the Paediatric first aid course (2 day) or the Emergency paediatric first aid course (1 day).
Also the number of family members and parents that wish to learn the basic first aid for their children has risen. We are pleased to offer a course that is suited to your needs, whether you are in a duty of care role or simply a new parent that wishes to understand and know what to do should something happen to your child.

Our training is provided by ex-front line Army medics with 12 years real life experience. Our expert team will give you the confidence, knowledge and skills to be a successful first aider in the workplace. Our lead trainer with military combat medic experience has military commendations for bravery and top level commander awards . An authentic individual she is not just a trainer but brings real world inspirational experience to our programmes for our clients to benefit from. These are not just classroom chalk and talk trainers – they can walk the talk being real people with real life experiences to help learners.

Course Overview
The course consists of 2 days in a classroom with a minimum of 6 hours a day contact time with the tutor.

Course Structure
The paediatric first aid course is a 2 days course aimed for those that require a more in-depth and understanding of treatment from babies – infant. The course covers:
• CPR
• Use of a defibrillator on a child
• Choking
• Meningitis
• Asthma
• Diabetes
• Hypo/Hyperthermia
• Bleeding
• Burns
• Broken bones
• Dislocations
• Seizures
• Allergic reactions
• Support networks to you
• Head injuries
• Foreign objects in the eye, nose, throat
• Swollen something harmful
How is the Course Delivered?
The course is mainly theory based and is delivered over 1 day or 2 days. It will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the different stages of Mental Health as well as the treatment for those that suffer with it. You will be able to identify the development of Mental Health issues and learn effective communication skills to address emerging and existing conditions
Our Credentials
We are a multi-award winning Company delivering training for nearly 20 years. As an established course provider, we are accredited with the awarding body Qualsafe Awards. This course is delivered by our experienced trainers who have extensive knowledge and experience in First Aid across numerous job roles.
Certification
This is optional, if you require in-house training there will be no charge for the certificate. If you would like a Qualsafe certificate it is an extra £10 per person.

Venue
This is up to you, it can be held at our residential training centre , we can come to you, or we can hire venues at a convenient location.
